Identity I Plan to Perform in my Scrapbook
Being that I am an older student, my argument will be “ Will experience in life, assist you with achieving your goals?” or “Achieving ones goals does not have a time line”. I am having a bit of a problem with this assignment because it does include the past, present and future. How can one sum is all up into a small presentation? I was going to do a PP and I was also thinking of using movie maker but I don’t want to bore people with details. I need help on ideas on how I can go about this project? I could also start with a few picures of my younger years and what I was doing 3 years ago before I started school, I just don't know. Help!!

I think doing a scrapbook as a "nontraditional student at NMSU" might be a great focus for the assignment. Your past might consider your earliest experiences with school (did you go to school for a while and then come back now? what made you wait to pursue your BA? etc). The present would represent your experiences now (what's it like for you to be in the classroom, online, on campus). Finally, the future might consider what you want to do with your degree - where will you work, will you go on to grad school. etc.?
ReplyDeleteCheck out the samples on WebCT for more guidance and just remember to focus your argument. The smaller slice of your identity the better and it seems you have a great focus here.
