Working thesis for Essay 2

My thesis for essay 2 will be on the traning for the use on TK20. With the TK20 trying to implement the program for all incoming freshmen, there should be some kind of training to make sure all documents can be uploaded and viewed effectively by administrators. My thesis is: New Mexico State University must improve their methods of training on the TK20 system for their administrators, professors and students.

    I think you have a good thesis going. I don't really know much about the TK20 program but I think that is why you are working your essay about the improving their methods, especially for people such as myself that don't really know much about the program but might interest someone in the long run. Im looking forward to reading it, I'd like to learn more about New Mexico State's program, not just that one, but other ones as well even though you are only focused on one.

    Alicia-
    I'm not familiar with TK20 either. It is like WebCT or something or is it the program being used by the education dept?
    Make sure your essay focuses on the way the community uses TK20 to build and perform identity and to build community. The need for training may be one part of this discussion - for example, by not training folks to use the space or speak/understand the lingo and commands, it is difficult to use to build community, etc. - but you'll want to keep your focus on how the technology expresses the community's values, bring folks together or not.
    You'll need to pay particular attention to the use of language in this space - words, phrases, images, etc.

    Alicia,

    I have to say that I don't know much about this program either, so that makes 3 of us lol! But i think its great because we get to learn something new. About your thesis, I think that its coming up great. I think that training should be important to help the community stay together and working because no one will be able to communicate if they dont know how to use it.
